Photoshop was developed in 1987 by Thomas and John Knoll. They sold the distribution license to Adobe Systems Incorporated in 1988. It is the most famous of the trio of tools by Adobe in use world wide so much so that you be “photoshop”-ed in or out of graphics easily. Adobe acquired Illustrator in 1985. After Effects had its debut in 1993. The rest is history as they say.
